On 24 March, we were part of \u20186 Ziemlich besten Freunde\u2019 at Cafe Moskau \u2013 and, as so often, everything for us revolved around the question of how cuisine can bring an event\u2019s theme to life.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In 2026, the evening\u2019s theme was \u2018Good Energy\u2019. We were able to fully express our energy and philosophy.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Throughout the event, flying canap\u00e9s accompanied the guests through the evening \u2014 deliberately kept simple, executed with precise craftsmanship. Among other things, there were:<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Crispbread with potato and egg as a pared-back classic, and focaccia with fresh goat\u2019s cheese, honey and thyme as a Mediterranean counterpart.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Familiar ingredients, clear combinations \u2014 light enough to provide energy without weighing you down.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The starters were presented openly on shelving units \u2014 accessible at all times, without fixed routes or queues. Cuisine thus became part of the movement within the space.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Dishes such as shredded celery with pointed cabbage or aubergine \u201cSenza Vitello, Senza Tonno\u201d offered different perspectives on vegetables: regionally rooted, internationally interpreted.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

At the buffets, our chefs plated up dishes live in front of the guests. Conversation flowed naturally \u2014 about ingredients, techniques and flavours.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The talk of the evening: confit vineyard snails with pearl barley risotto, sobrasada and miso hollandaise.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

A centuries-old product with a long European tradition\u2014and at the same time an exciting food of the future: resource-efficient, locally sourced and surprisingly versatile.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cSometimes you don\u2019t need to reinvent the wheel, but simply dare to take a fresh look at the familiar,\u201d as our head chef Sebastian G\u00f6rmar put it.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The most frequently asked question of the evening was actually: Are snails actually vegan? No. But they are definitely an exciting alternative source of protein, delicious and a great conversation starter.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Desserts and vanilla-apricot soft-serve ice cream with candyfloss provided a sweet finale packed with extra good energy \u2013 anyone who hadn\u2019t been in the mood for good energy by then certainly was by now.<\/p>

Our conclusion<\/p>

When cuisine not only accompanies an event concept but also underpins it, the result is more than just catering. Good food brings people together. And sometimes, good energy is simply a matter of the right flavour.<\/p>
