What a celebration! On June 24, we had the pleasure of providing culinary accompaniment for the “25 Years of Bitkom” summer party at Hamburger Bahnhof. We have been an integral part of this special evening for several years now, but this anniversary was another real highlight.
Celebrating where Berlin breathes
The Hamburger Bahnhof, located in the heart of the capital, provided the perfect setting for the approximately 1,600 invited guests with its impressive architecture and spacious courtyard. The atmosphere? Relaxed, lively, stylish. And also politically exciting: the newly appointed Federal Minister for Digital and State Modernization, Karsten Wildberger, took the opportunity to personally congratulate the guests and give a speech. Minister of State for Culture Wolfgang Weimer was also among the guests.
Seasonal, regional and pretty tasty
Culinary-wise, we naturally served up everything that early summer has to offer—from refined to hearty, from vegan to savory. Among other things, our guests could look forward to:
Smoked paprika tartlets with balsamic pearls, char ceviche, gently cooked pasture-raised beef with baked potatoes and honey carrots, summer fregola with roasted vegetables, curry with colorful cauliflower and leaf spinach (vegan and highly sought-after!), and for dessert, strawberry ragout with ayran sabayon, tartlets with vanilla cream and raspberries.
And because a good party still makes you hungry after midnight, our popular veal currywurst with bread rolls and a vegetable kebab in flatbread with fresh herb sauce were served as a late-night snack.
Ice cream, baby!
The highlight of the evening? Definitely the ice cream station! Not only was it eye-catching, but it was also a real lifesaver in the summer temperatures—with homemade flavors and that certain wow factor.
