An Evening of Space, Flavor, and Light

Hoflieferanten Berlin Presents Catering Concepts with a View of the Illuminated Brandenburg Gate

On October 12 and 15, we were part of some very special evenings at AXICA on Pariser Platz! The occasion was the Festival of Lights. The focus was not only on the view of the Brandenburg Gate, but also on the venue itself: its new spaces, its potential, and the people who turn events here into special experiences. As AXICA’s official caterer, Hoflieferanten Berlin was part of the evening and had the opportunity to showcase how culinary offerings can shape a space and an event.

Three Chef's Table sessions with a special view

During three Chef’s Table sessions, we presented our “Zum Erinnern” catering style live in the newly redesigned Ausblick room: hearty Berlin cuisine, given a modern twist and served without the usual tavern clichés. Our head chef, Wolfgang Keller, personally presented the dishes and the concept behind them. The vegan Schmalzstullen and the Berlin pancakes with sauerkraut purée—created especially for this evening—elicited surprised reactions and great enthusiasm.

All of the dishes served that evening were created entirely from vegan and vegetarian ingredients. They were sourced from our long-standing and carefully selected partners, with whom we have been working for years.

Flexible spaces, delicious cuisine

In the “Lichtblick” and “Ausblick” rooms, guests were able to experience the many different ways the spaces can be used: for a group dinner, a workshop, conversations and socializing, or as a relaxing retreat between individual program items. At the same time, the evening demonstrated how culinary offerings can be integrated into an event in a wide variety of ways:

Appetizers were served via flying service, and small snacks were already waiting on the set tables. Guests could enjoy the main courses at the Chef’s Table as part of a family-style sharing experience or at the buffet on the gallery, where a chef plated the dishes directly for them. For the rest of the evening—which invited guests to stroll, marvel, and network—shelves in the Lichtblick and Quadriga rooms were stocked with a selection of grab-and-go-style desserts.

Between the individual stops, there was time for personal conversations, for catching up with familiar faces, and for making new connections. The Festival of Lights projections onto the Brandenburg Gate provided a special backdrop for the evening.

Space, Taste, and Light

Three elements came together that evening to define every event: a space with its own unique atmosphere, good food, and people engaging in conversation with one another. These events at AXICA were evenings dedicated to discovery, exchange, and enjoyment—all centered around space, flavor, and light.
